Jamie Nicol - Chief Investment Officer

A Chartered Accountant, Jamie has broad experience in the financial services sector. His early career with Price Waterhouse Coopers (then Coopers and Lybrand), spent in the areas of audit and tax, sparked an interest in wealth-creation strategies for individual clients.
Following his time at PWC, Jamie gained valuable experience at Lloyds Bank in London, where he held a variety of financial positions. Since then, he has been successful in a number of senior roles in analysis and research, where he honed his skills as a fund manager.
Chief among these was the position of senior analyst, Mergers and Acquisitions (Australia and South Pacific) for Westpac. More recently, Jamie filled roles as a banking analyst for two major stockbroking firms, before establishing Dalton Nicol Reid in 2001. |

Harley Dalton - Chief Executive Officer

Harley Dalton has significant experience in financial services.
Over 13 years servicing clients, he has worked in the sector from the ground up. Starting as a SEATS operator with Pembroke Josephson and Wright (PJW), he progressed to options trading with Option Clearing House (OCH), and then to financial adviser with Hartley Poynton.
These positions gave Harley wide experience with both individual and institutional investors. In 2001 he became a founding partner of Dalton Nicol Reid.
Harley has a specialised knowledge of financial and options markets and trading, but his background in advice allows him to understand the needs of the individual investor. |

Scott Bender - Head Investment Analyst

Scott started his career in financial services in 1996 as a trading representative before moving to Macquarie Bank and then JP Morgan, where he became involved in equity research.
Later, in London, Scott worked for a number of years for Deutsche Bank, again within the equity research division.
Since returning to Australia, Scott has been actively involved in forging the success of Dalton Nicol Reid, by virtue of his integral role within its investment committee. |

Ben Clayton - Investment Analyst

Prior to joining Dalton Nicol Reid in 2004, Ben served in a range of positions in financial services.
His career began at stockbrokers Ord Minnett, where he worked as a research analyst.
Moving to the United Kingdom, he also worked as an analyst, with large fund manager Charles Stanley. |

Justine Hickey - Equities Analyst, Investment Committee member

Justine began her career with JP Morgan (formerly Fleming Investment Management) in London where she invested in small listed UK companies in her roles as equity analyst and portfolio manager.
Returning to Australia, Justine joined Suncorp Investments as a portfolio manager, responsible for Australian equity investments across a range of sectors and managing the research team. In 2002 Justine was appointed to the role of Head of Equities. She joined Dalton Nicol Reid’s investment committee in 2005.
Justine is a non-executive director of the Youth Enterprise Trust and Foundation, the Hyperion Flagship LIC and Australian Ethical Investments Ltd. She also sits on the Melbourne University investment committee. |

Mark Hancock of Precept Investment Actuaries Pty Ltd

Mark is a qualified actuary and has been a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia since 1987. He has over 20 years experience in the securities and funds management industry in Australia, including eight years as a principal consultant with Loftus Capital Partners Limited and five years experience with NRMA as a professional investment manager.
As the Managing Director of Precept Investment Actuaries Pty Ltd, Mark is the principal investment consultant to Dalton Nicol Reid in relation to the ProVentus IMA portfolio.
His qualifications and valuable experience see him retained in a number of advisory roles by major Australian investment firms and financial services entities. He specialises in the assessment of listed businesses in the financial services industry.
An example of this is his role since 2002 as adviser to the Federal Government in relation to the proposed sale of Medibank Private Limited on behalf of Carnegie Wylie & Company |
